At the end-of-year press conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama also touched on the education sector. Rama said that important steps have been taken in education this year, starting, according to him, with the strengthening of the technology system in schools.

He further added that the transportation project has begun with vehicles manufactured here in the country, while stating that these vehicles could be put into use next year.

"We have made important steps this year in education, starting with the strengthening of the technology system at the service of students. 350 schools are equipped with intelligent laboratories. We believe that starting from the next school season we will put the first vehicles into use that will then be extended throughout the territory. The project for the revival of the French Lyceum in Korcë has progressed positively. The building project has been completed and work will begin in 2026. The number of security employees in schools has doubled. The Code of Ethics for teachers in the education system has been approved and has begun to be implemented. In 2026, the application of new curricula for grades 1, 6 and 10 will begin. Investments have also been made in higher education and continue. "Forty studios have expressed interest in the new campus of Aleksandër Moisiu University in Durrës. The transformation of UBT continues in collaboration with BOGU of Vienna. A large number of research and scientific projects have been funded ," said Rama. /CNA
