The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, stated today that electronic voting for Albanian citizens in the diaspora is a good solution that can be realized through technological development.

Invited to 'Syri TV', Celibashi stated that this will be one of the issues of discussion within the framework of electoral reform.

Celibashi added that this method simplifies the process and has less cost for the state and citizens.

"We must accept one thing, that technological development should not affect. We must be smart in the approach. I see it as a good opportunity to use it in many aspects, even in electoral voting. This way of voting from abroad would have been the best. Not like my colleague who traveled 70 km to post the envelope. Of those voters from abroad who have had the opportunity to vote, they have wanted to vote electronically. This and others will be discussed within the framework of electoral reform", - said Celibashi./ CNA
