"Veliaj left as a symbol of abuse and lawlessness"/ Bardhi: The hour

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, reacts to the vote to dismiss the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, by the Tirana Municipal Council.

Bardhi says that Veliaj left without having the opportunity to say a single word, without saying goodbye and as a symbol of corruption. According to him, this is a message and warning about the end of those officials who have stolen votes while serving Edi Rama.

Bardhi writes that the hour of justice is coming and that the guardian angel of the corrupt will be content with a sigh that was not the next one, referring to Prime Minister Rama.

 

"Erion Veliaj, Edi Rama's successor at the head of Tirana Municipality, was dismissed today by the unanimous vote of the Tirana Municipal Council. He left the leadership of the largest municipality in the country without having the opportunity to say a single word, shake anyone's hand or even say goodbye. He left as a functionary symbol of corruption, abuse and lawlessness at the head of the affairs of the capital.

Today's was not a message simply and solely for Erion Veliaj. Today's dismissal was a warning of the end that awaits all those socialist officials who, in the service of Edi Rama, have stolen votes, abused power, abused their office, and embezzled public funds.

The same end that awaits behind the door of Edi Rama's corrupt ministers, deputies and mayors, starting with Belinda Balluku. The hour of truth and justice may be delayed. But, what is certain is that it always comes. And when it comes, it falls mercilessly on all those who wasted the rare privilege of serving citizens for ambition, power and personal enrichment.
