Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue/ Rama: A major failure, due to the wrong format

Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the "Albania, New Horizon" conference, also focused on the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

Rama said that it is sad that there is no progress in this regard. Further, the Prime Minister stated that Kosovo must do its part and duties and not focus on Serbia.

Rama said this, not to accept what Serbia is demanding, but to fulfill the tasks set by the EU for Kosovo's membership in the Union.

Rama stated that this dialogue is a major failure due to the wrong format being used.

" It saddens me to see that there is no progress at all in this direction. I have been and continue to remain convinced, there is a very clear path, Kosovo should not think and see Serbia, but should do its part and duties. It should give the EU all that notebook with the homework done and seek to move forward.

This is not about fulfilling or accepting what Serbia is asking for, it is about accepting what the EU is asking for. This EU-mediated dialogue is a major failure of the wrong format, the country must fulfill the conditions related to the EU values, principles and way of life. If Kosovo does this, it is in its best interest not to associate itself with Serbia. Otherwise, it will continue to isolate itself more and more ,” Rama said. /CNA
