The leader of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, has declared that they will vote in favor of Veliaj's dismissal at the Municipal Council meeting.

Invited to MCN TV, Qori said that Veliaj should become a collaborator of justice and reveal who he stole with.

According to Qori, Rama is politically responsible for Veliaj and the end of Veliaj should be accompanied by a demand for Edi Rama's resignation.

"Veliaj's dismissal is necessary and overdue. He should have been dismissed the first day SPAK summoned him. Our councilor, Mirela Ruko, has been demanding it since then and will undoubtedly vote in favor of the dismissal. But he should be dismissed because he was caught red-handed, not just because he is absent from duty. If it's about absenteeism, he says my hands are tied here in prison and I can't go."

Rama is politically responsible for Veliaj and the end of Veliaj should be accompanied by a demand for the resignation of Edi Rama. Veliaj is the mayor of Tirana, who has a mix of various interests.

What I would ask of all the opposition advisors is to insist on a debate. Mirela Ruko will ask for a debate, not to close like the Albanian Parliament, not to have a fence come up there to put it to a vote and no one to hold them accountable. First, hold Edi Rama and the SP advisors accountable. They have not raised their voices in any case when Veliaj made decisions contrary to the law.

If there is a riot, they shut everything down for a few minutes. There needs to be a debate and everyone needs to be given the right to speak. Legal and political accountability needs to be sought.

Veliaj has the power to do a good job in his life. It doesn't matter if he is in the Municipal Council or not, but what matters is what he says to the Prosecutors. He must become a collaborator of justice and show who he stole with. He didn't steal only for himself, but also for Rama, for the Socialist Party and for this entire political machine that robs everything. Will he do this? I hope so, but I don't know.

Is there a prosecutor in Albania today who is ready to take on this case, to tell Veliaj that if he becomes a collaborator of justice, he has our protection? Even for his own interest, to become a collaborator, is there a prosecutor in SPAK who is ready to take it to the end? This is very important," declared Qori./ CNA
