"We have an electoral dictatorship"/ Kajsiu: The last stone was laid

Political scientist Blendi Kajsiu commented on the latest developments in the country, following the start of the new legislature.

In a television appearance, Kajsiu stated that the country has moved from Rama's liberal dictatorship to an electoral dictatorship.

Kajsiu said that the first plenary session laid the final stone to the tomb of the parliamentary republic.

"This will go down in the short history of our democracy as a blow to parliamentary life. We have gone from a parliamentary republic to a prime ministerial republic. The opening session of the parliament laid the final stone on the tomb of the parliamentary republic, which has become a monument to the prime ministerial republic. It is the trend of recent years, where we have gone from a democracy with defects, towards a liberal dictatorship of Rama and we are moving towards an electoral dictatorship because there is no longer a Parliament, we no longer have an executive, but we only have a prime minister," said Kajsiu. /CNA
