Acting Mayor of Vlora Municipality Elected/Halili: Focus on Continuity of

The Vlora Municipal Council voted today for Elis Halili as mayor-designate at the head of the city's municipality.

In his speech, Halili gave a brief presentation of his life and work.

As commander in this new task for him, Halili stated that he will be focused solely on the continuity of projects for the city of Vlora.

"I am Elis Halili, I am a boy who was born in Vlora, I grew up here, fate but also the education I received as an engineer, have brought me to Vlora for 7 years. I have led and been part of the implementation of projects in this city, these projects that have transformed it into the point we are today. For me, it is a pleasure and an obligation that all members of the Municipal Council have trusted me to be there until the selection of the mayor. During this period, together with the two vice mayors, we will be focused only on the continuity of the projects", said Halili.

Halili was elected today, after former mayor Ermal Dredha resigned from office on September 10, 2025. Dredha held this position for two years, since 2023./ CNA
