The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, today recounted moments from his meeting with American activist Charlie Kirk.

In a television appearance on Euronews Albania, Mediu revealed that the meeting between them took place during an event in the US, where they were present together.

Mediu said that at that time, a possible visit by Kirk to Albania was also under discussion.

"I met Charlie at an event in the US, and since then he has impressed me as an extraordinary debater. He gave everyone space to ask questions, even when faced with opposition or insults. Charlie built a powerful armor around his movement, which had essentially massiveness and real influence on electoral processes. He managed to mobilize university youth and change its approach, turning a large part of it, which previously supported about 70% of the left, towards another alternative.

Charlie Kirk became an extremely big problem because he built one of the most extraordinary movements that had ever been seen. He was not part of the official structure of the Republican Party, but he built a movement with open debate and real impact in areas where conservative ideology faced the greatest opposition. He wanted nothing more than an America with healthy families, with values ??and traditions.

"It was discussed that Charlie might have an opportunity to visit Albania as well. I believe that the need for a conservative youth is real here as well. Values, family and tradition are essential for the stability of Albanian society," Mediu said./ CNA
