The leader of the Socialist Party group, Taulant Balla, said today that the demands raised by the opposition during the discussions at the meeting of the Conference of Mayors do not hold up.

In a statement to the media this Monday, Balla stressed the importance of having names from the opposition for the composition of permanent parliamentary committees.

"Today, all parliamentary groups were supposed to bring their names for the composition of the committees. The three names of the opposition have not come for the composition of the committees. By the day there will be a session, they should have come. If they do not bring them, ask the opposition about this. From a procedural point of view, a meeting with ¼ of the members in the Assembly should be initiated. Today we had a discussion. Gjekmarkaj raised concerns about the absence of the head of the DP group. I do not know this. He has not been excluded from the meetings, only from the sessions. The conduct of the session on September 8 has been clarified. None of them stand by the opposition's request", said Balla. /CNA
