"These towers are not for Albanians"/ Xhaferri: Rama and Veliaj

Democratic Party MP Besart Xhaferri reacted today regarding the scandal with construction permits in Tirana.

Through a post on social media, Xhaferri states that in 2024 Tirana increased by 1,766 residents, while Rama and Veliaj granted 1.9 million m² of building permits.

Xhaferri adds that these building permits are not for Albanians, but for those who launder money and drug cartels.

"In 2015, the city of Tirana added about 18 thousand new residents, while on January 1, 2025, Tirana had only 1,766 new residents compared to 2024.

These dramatic figures are a consequence of the exodus that has affected the 36 districts of the country, where residents who fled Tirana from these regions no longer have an alternative, but are choosing to flee outside Albania, after Edi Rama has left this country at the mercy of crime.

The exodus figures expose Edi Rama as the chief architect of money laundering in construction, as, although Tirana in 2024 increased by only 1,766 residents, Rama and Veliaj signed 1.9 million square meters of construction permits.

These towers are not for Albanians, but are for laundering the money of drug cartels, including Serbian and Montenegrin ones that depend directly on Vu?i?, for whom indications show that Rama has made the port of Durres available.

"The alarm that the US has raised about drug cartels and money laundering has a name, and his name is Edi Rama and without the slightest doubt, he will have the fate of Manuel Noriega," Xhaferri writes. /CNA
