The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, made a strong appeal to the institutions of justice, as he inspected the work to extinguish an active fire in Lushnje.

Balla stated that the prosecutor's office should seek exemplary punishments and the judicial authorities should be strict with anyone who is involved in arson.

He also appealed to the citizens, to whom it was pointed out that arson is a criminal offense, which becomes even more serious in cases where it is intentional.

"I want to make a call to everyone who is involved in arson, even unintentionally to burn the straw after harvesting wheat, they must understand that it is a criminal offense and for those who do it intentionally, it is a criminal offense and more still heavy. In many areas of Albania, not only here in Lushnje, but in many other parts of the territory, the police have arrested a significant number of people who were involved in these arson attacks. My call is that everyone should understand that we will be very strict and my call goes to the prosecutor's office, which in all cases of State Police referrals, will have to receive exemplary punishments", emphasized the minister./ CNA .co.uk
