Meeting in Lombardy/Balla: Priority given to teaching the Albanian language and

Minister of State, and political leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, during his stay in Italy, held a special meeting with the Mayor of Magenta in the Lombardy region, Luca Del Gobbo.

"With the Mayor of Magenta Luca Del Gobbo, we discussed issues in the interest of our compatriots living here, focusing on learning the Albanian language, cultural activities, etc.," said Balla.

Balla described the meeting as an important moment of dialogue with a friend of Albanians and a figure with long experience in local and regional administration.

"Magenta is a city with a significant community of Albanians, the largest among foreigners, who contribute every day with their work and dedication to the social and economic life of this territory," said Balla. 

He also emphasized that Albanians in Italy constitute a strong bridge between the two countries and an asset that makes Albania proud every day. 

Balla's visit has also attracted the attention of the Italian media, with the TicinoNotizie news agency reporting on his stop in Magenta, part of a tour of meetings with Albanian communities in Italy. According to the media, Mayor Del Gobbo praised the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen relations between Albania and Italy, but also to emphasize the important role of Albanians in the life of the city. 

"Today I had the pleasure of welcoming Minister Balla to Magenta. It was an opportunity to underline how our city is an open and welcoming community. I explained to the minister that Magenta is home to a large and well-integrated community of citizens of Albanian origin, who actively contribute to the social, cultural and economic life of our city," said Del Gobbo. 

Balla's visit to Italy is part of his commitment as Political Leader for the Diaspora in the Socialist Party, with the aim not only of seeking votes for the May 11 elections, but also of strengthening ties with Albanian communities and deepening cooperation with local authorities in countries where Albanians are integrated and contribute significantly./CNA
