The vice president of the Economy Commission, Sorina Koti, spoke after the meeting with the US ambassador, Yuri Kim.

Speaking about the fiscal amnesty, the PD deputy said that the ambassador expressed concern that money laundering is one of the main problems in Albania.

"The ambassador emphasized that the reforms should be deeper and more aggressive, and the people who should go to prison, one day they will go to prison.
What I qualified is that the part of governance is the one that carries the greatest weight in this matter. The opposition is a whistleblower, it is on the ground, it is with the citizens, but it can never take responsibility for why the rule of law or public institutions are not functioning.
This is what I reported to the American embassy. But above all, it is cooperation with internationals because Albanians want hope.
And I hope that if there will be a desire and the politicians will be honest as all the voters and we who represent them demand, I think we are on the right path", declared the DP deputy./CNA.al
