MP Jorida Tabaku spoke about meetings with immigrants in the US. Tabaku says that immigrants have a high interest in the DP and support for the opposition is extraordinary.

"We helped Albanians register. We had 6 meetings in a row. Extraordinary support and atmosphere from the diaspora. The call to register comes because Albanians in the US have had problems registering, due to the lack of identification documents. These are Albanian citizens who left Albania before biometric documents were announced and have had difficulty registering. The support for the opposition is extraordinary.

The DP has introduced a bill to give every Albanian citizen who has an identification tool, even if they do not have biometric documents, the right to vote. We have called on them to apply at the consulates, and only New York has a consulate, and this requires difficulties in obtaining ID cards, since it is far away.

High interest, especially for the DP, jobs have been opened with young people who help citizens to register with the CEC, the same working method has been followed in other countries. Citizens are looking to us, to register and support the opposition.

"The CEC must definitely inform communities, and we have created a slightly different structure, we have asked Albanian businesses to advertise DP posters to register," Tabaku said./ CNA
