The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Vlora Region, Bujar Leskaj, commented on the meeting with immigrants in Florence.

Through a post on social media, Leskaj expressed that the right given to immigrants to vote gives them the opportunity to overthrow the narco-dictatorship of the Renaissance.

"Today, February 9, 2025, together with the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Vlora, Mr. Atird Hoxha, and former MP, Mr. Dashamir Tahiri, we organized an impressive, enthusiastic meeting with our compatriots who live and work in Florence (Fiesole).

It is the first time that our compatriots outside Albania are given the long-overdue right to vote/elect, and as such it represents a great historical moment for all of us.

The voting of our emigrants, fellow citizens, and compatriots in the diaspora opens another page in Albania's democratic journey, as a bright chapter in it. The involvement of Albanians in the diaspora has given them the opportunity to overthrow the narco-dictatorship of Rama's Renaissance!

Our compatriots in Florence, especially those from Vlora, represent a dignified, well-integrated, dedicated and hard-working community, who for years have proven to be a valuable asset to Albania and Vlora.

The messages they conveyed make us continue proudly and confidently towards the victory of May 11, where the vote of the Diaspora will be the vote of change.

I would also like to thank my many friends from Vlora who came to meet me and helped organize this meeting and offered me support in registering on our voter list on the CEC platform!
