The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, called for the unity of Albanians with the opposition and the overthrow of the government.

During his speech at the protest, Mediu raised accusations that Edi Rama's government is anti-national.

He emphasized that Albania must return to its Euro-Atlantic path.

"We are here for the state of Albanians and not for power. We are the ones who brought democracy, who made Albania a NATO member state, we are the ones who hosted the American president, George Bush. We have built the best for the Albanian nation. This government sells propaganda and demagoguery, believing that there is only one force. Voters are the ones who decide. Two resolutions led by the CDU say that there are no free and fair elections in Albania. The diaspora has the chance to change Albania. Today we must restore Albanians' faith in God. Albanians must unite to tear down this filthy "wall" that this government has erected with the citizens. This is an anti-national government, which works with Serbia, at the expense of Kosovo. Albania's path is not from Serbia, but from the EU and the USA. Let's return Albania to its Euro-Atlantic path", underlined the head of the PR./ CNA
