Protests in Serbia / Rama defends Vu?i?

For weeks, protests against the government and President Vu?i? have been ongoing in Serbia.

In an interview with "El Mundo", asked about the student protests in Serbia and the resignation of the prime minister, Rama said that according to him there is a problem with the Serbian opposition that they do not seem more pro-European or pro-Western than the president.

Rama said he hopes that in the end dialogue will prevail because the forcible seizure of a government should never happen on European soil.

"In Serbia, President Vu?i? has been facing student protests for three months and the prime minister resigned last week. What is your opinion on what is happening?"

The problem I have with the Serbian opposition is, without getting into the dynamics of domestic politics, that they do not seem more pro-European or pro-Western than the president.

As for Kosovo, they don't seem to be any more progressive. As for the rest, it's not my place to comment, because it's an internal matter for Serbia.

"But I believe and hope that in the end dialogue will have to prevail. Because taking over a government by force should never happen on European soil," Rama said./ CNA
