The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, recalled the protest of February 20, 2024 during his speech at the protest being held this evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Berisha said that a year ago he spoke at the protest as a political prisoner, but today the DP has done a lot.

He stated that the DP makes the impossible possible and the opposition is more united than ever.

"Dear citizens, Albanians wherever you are tonight, in Albania, abroad and anywhere in the world. I begin my speech with a humble bow before you, with a fraternal thank you and with my congratulations to all of you, to all democrats and oppositionists. In a short time, we have done a lot.

Let's go back a little. Just a year ago, last February, we were here in the square at the February 20 protest. The leader of the opposition was arrested in violation of the law, in violation of the Constitution. And I, I kept my word from a television screen, a political prisoner. But in that protest we laid the foundations of every victory that we deserve and that we will have.

In that protest, we proved to Albanians that we rose from the ashes like the Phoenix and that those who thought they would defeat us failed shamefully. We are invincible! We are invincible because we united. We are invincible because we defend a just cause. We are invincible because we defend the most achieved values ??of man, we defend freedom, national interest, human dignity, the family, the nation. That is why we come here today as an opposition that makes the impossible possible.

As the DP that makes the impossible possible. Today we have a seal and a flag. Today we are more united than ever.
Today, with three international resolutions, we are the most supported political force. Today, we are standing firmer than ever in the battle with the dictatorship. We will win! History willed that we be the only political force that overthrew two dictatorships one after the other.
