"The Statute is about elections, not farces"/ Berisha responds to

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was asked at his media conference about MP Xhaferri's statement that the leader of the Democratic Party should leave the party if he does not expose the electoral farce.

Berisha said that he does not need to substantiate the electoral farce since he has described the OSCE-ODIHR process as a farce. Further, the DP leader stated that everyone in the party is free to openly express their opinion.  

Regarding his departure from the party leadership, Berisha stated that the statute includes elections and not electoral farces. Berisha said that interpretations of the statute for party leaders are up to the DP membership to make.

 

" There is no need to prove it, the preliminary OSCE/ODIHR report says so. I guarantee you that every MP, member of the DP will be free to express any opinion they have. The interpretation of the statute must be correct. The statute is about elections, not farces. It will be the DP membership that will make the interpretations ," Berisha said./CNA
