Shehaj: The DP has not had its votes taken away, but rather has had them added to it

The Chairman of the "Mundësia" Party, Agron Shehaj, stated on the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin" that he has no objection to the vote recount process.

According to Shehaj, it turns out that not only were votes not taken away from the Democratic Party, but in some cases they were added to it.

"Despite the fact that the DP claims our mandate, it is right that the votes be counted. I never oppose the vote counting, because we must be open to transparency. What I can say is this: I do not believe that the recount brings a big change in terms of the vote counting process for political entities. We have verified 10% of the votes in Tirana, since we have all the footage of them, and I can say that the Democratic Party has not had any votes taken away, on the contrary, votes have been added to it. It is a small number that could also be human errors. The numbers are negligible and do not affect the result. I am convinced that at the end of the count, the difference between the votes that the DP needs to get our mandate will not only not decrease, but will increase. So let the recount process continue," said Shehaj./CNA
