"The government made an illegal decision"/ Hoxhaj: Forgiving fines

Journalist Juljan Hoxhaj commented today on the government's decision to forgive fines a few days before the May 9 parliamentary elections.

Invited to a show on 'Syri TV', Hoxhaj considered it a flagrant case from the entire series of decisions taken before the elections.

According to the journalist, the approval showed that the government analyzed the situation on the ground, made some kind of promise privately, and at the final moment made that decision that is completely illegal.

"Starting from the last decision that the government made before the elections on May 9, on the forgiveness of fines, despite the fact that there is no financially certified financial invoice, we have referred to the opposition. The opposition claims that there are 200 thousand euros in fines accumulated in the last 10 years, as much as the amount of fine forgiveness. We have made a kind of balance sheet of all major decisions with a heavy financial impact. They are a series of decisions, where the most serious and flagrant is the one on the forgiveness of fines. From a certain point of view, we cannot measure today how much it has influenced an electoral campaign. This decision is forbidden to come out 4 months before the elections and it came out two days before them. This is one of the most flagrant cases and of course the government that approved it means that it has analyzed the situation on the ground, has made a kind of promise not publicly and at the final moment made that decision that is completely illegal." - said Hoxhaj. /CNA
