The head of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, said that today is the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, which, according to him, was an inspiration for all Albanians.

Berisha added that the fall of the Berlin wall should be a great inspiration for young Albanians to prove to themselves, the nation and the Europeans that they do not agree with narco-dictatorships.

"Undoubtedly, the fall of the Berlin Wall was an inspiration for Albanians as well, but above all an inspiration for young Albanians, who fought an epic battle with the dictatorship on July 2, 1990. The 'Berlin Wall' collapsed in Tirana.

And then, it would be the student youth that would ultimately destroy the dictatorship's efforts to erect and maintain this wall.
In its democratic revolution of 1990, it restored political pluralism in Albania, and with free elections, Europe's most Stalinist dictatorship would be overthrown.

On March 22, '92, the Albanian opposition would win!

Dear friends, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the democratic revolution of 1989 in the former communist European countries, the democratic revolution of the late 1990s in Stalinist Tirana were epoch-making developments, developments that divided the ages.
