"DP did not have a decision to boycott"/ Berisha: The exclusion of 24

The head of the DP, Sali Berisha, stated to the media today that there was no decision from the DP to boycott the parliament.

According to Berisha, what happened was that the exclusion of 24 deputies prevented participation in the commissions.

"There was a misunderstanding, the misunderstanding was that there is no decision of the DP to boycott the sessions of the parliament, and in case we return to it, you know that our deputies who were not expelled went to every session, but were blocked to the door illegally. Once again, there was no decision to abandon, to boycott the parliament, which could have been taken, but was not taken.

There was a decision when 24 deputies were expelled, it then made it completely difficult to participate in the commissions and they were boycotted. The annulment of the decision by the Administrative Court returns the deputies to the committees. So we should not take things as they are not. So there was no decision.

Secondly, I consider it very important that the deputies have their say on the budget in the parliament, because the opposition people are also taxpayers, because the interests of the citizens in the case of the budget are very specific and we will protect them in the parliament as well.

We are obliged to send amendments for these and I do not believe that DP would have understanding from the citizens if it did not debate the budget in the parliament. That being said, nothing moves from civil disobedience. I guarantee you this with full responsibility. It will continue in the streets, squares and everywhere", said Berisha./ CNA
