Rama criticizes Ujësjëllësi: We will reform, we will create the

Prime Minister Edi Rama has criticized the Water Supply Company, saying that there are problems with drinking water in the capital.

Rama said he will create a national water distribution operator that will function similarly to the energy distribution operator.

"Starting from drinking water, which has become a problem in this period, it is a problem of mismanagement, we will intervene in the water supply of the Municipality of Tirana. A more comprehensive reform in the territory has begun to come to life, being conceived together with the Minister of Infrastructure towards the creation of a national operator that will function as a national energy distribution operator with the component of production, transmission and distribution, and the government will no longer stand aside waiting and hoping that the municipalities provide the right and quality service to the citizens, but will join them, the municipalities will be shareholders in this company. This process has been prolonged, waiting for it to rise to the right level in all parts of the territory, based on often unsatisfactory decision-making at the local level. We will create a public company that, as in the field of energy, will be structured differently, starting from human resources that cannot be party resources, but competent ones", said Rama./ CNA
