Prime Minister Edi Rama visited Korca this Sunday, where he announced that the first ski tourist center in Albania will soon be built.

According to Rama, this center will put the area on the European map of ski tourism. Rama also said that over 160 guesthouses are currently in the southeastern city, while tourists are increasing every day.

"Now it is the turn of the first ski tourist center in Albania, a project that will put Korça on the European map of ski tourism and will ignite a new engine with many horsepower in the economy of this entire region where the reborn road connections with Kolonjë and Përmet have brought added value to the beautiful tourist package of this area. Better and better and the best is all ahead for Korça and all of Albania," said Rama.


He does not spare beautiful words for Korça, which, according to him, has completely changed in terms of tourism in a decade.

"Korça, Korça, this winter like no other winter, 160 or so inns, one more beautiful than the other, packed every weekend, about half a million visitors and tourists who spend at least one night in Little Paris during the year. A decade ago, they barely exceeded 50 thousand a year and there were no foreign feet. Meanwhile, the inns were counted on the fingers and barely maintained themselves." /CNA
