Rama, cut off from Athens, demands the repeal of the law of war
Edi Rama

From Athens, in the meeting he held today with the immigrants, Prime Minister Edi Rama asked for the repeal of the law of war.

In his speech in front of Albanian immigrants, Rama described as absurd the fact that this law is still in force.

"The law of war between Greece and Albania is still in force, that law of November 10, 1940, determines what is done with the property and citizens of countries in a state of war, in 1947 Greece ratified the peace treaty with Italy, while with Albania the decree of the law of war and the consequences of the law of war remain in force, today all day, even though in 1998 they approved the friendship treaty, how is it possible between 2 countries that have signed a friendship treaty, that are together in ANTO, that it has not been abolished the state of war together with the consequences of a martial law abolished 84 years ago.

In these years, my government and I have tried to remove this absurdity from the table of our relations, we have also tried to address as fairly as possible, with understanding, all the remaining issues between the two states because I am convinced that if they have good will, all issues can be resolved without another 84 years," said Rama./ CNA
