CNA reported with official sources that Prime Minister Edi Rama would make changes in the government.

This scenario was implemented in the SP Congress, where the head of the government announced that he had removed the 3 main cabinet ministers.

Rama announced that he had dismissed the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete. The latter currently does not hold any position, while it is not yet known if Rama will delegate him to any district, or if he will give him another position within the party.

The head of the government announced that Petrit Malaj will now lead the Ministry of Finance.

Another important cabinet minister who was removed by the prime minister was Taulant Balla, who headed the Ministry of the Interior since July 2023.

Balla left the Ministry of the Interior to replace Elisa Spiropali in the position of Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament.

The third important minister that Rama removed was that of Defense Niko Peleshi. The head of the government appointed Pelesh as the chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the SP./ CNA
