Prime Minister Edi Rama was present today at the International Conference on Life Sciences and Agriculture being held at the Agricultural University of Tirana.

In his speech, Rama focused on the importance of continuing studies in this field, which according to him requires more human resources.

Rama said that studies in agricultural sciences are not only a good professional opportunity, but also a need to serve the country more.

"The conference is special because it takes place in an atmosphere of transformation of UB. I just want to go back for a moment to a retrospective moment, when I felt a sense of urgency and panic from the decrease in the number of students. The agricultural sector would be totally damaged in terms of human resources. We aim to give the university the brand of excellence and inspire girls and boys with this perspective through a new opportunity that gives the strength of knowledge to be needed for the country and everywhere else. It is just the beginning and has resulted in 20% more students, but not with a lowered average, but with students who have knocked on the university's door to see the future in this field, which despite technological developments and coveted professions, will be such a vital field that the assessments for the people who live in this field will be great", - said Rama. /CNA
