The Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agron Gjekmarkaj, has once again shown his duplicity.

On the day of the passing of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano, he wrote that he will be remembered as a fundamental figure in the country's political transition.

A hypocritical reaction, as research shows that Gjekmarkaj did not have the same opinion about Nano. In a 2021 article, after the former prime minister's return to the screen, Gjekmarkaj called Nano a caricature.

Gjekmarkaj had described his reappearance on television as "combing Rama's beard."

" He appeared on Blendi Fevziu's well-known "Opinion" show with a beard and well-dyed hair, but he didn't look young anymore! Even his eyebrows were tired and flat, his cynicism like a sword without a blade, and the blade had turned into a comb for Edi Rama's beard ," Gjekmarkaj wrote 4 years ago.

However, this is not the first nor the only case that Agron Gjekmarkaj has shown his duplicity.

Initially, when he entered politics or even before, he was an ardent supporter of Sali Berisha.

Later, when the DP split, Gjekmarkaj declared that he would never be a Berisha MP and the DP could not return to Western values ??under Berisha's leadership.

" I will never be a deputy of Sali Berisha, I will be a deputy of Lezha and of the DP so that this party returns to Western values ??and friendship with the USA."

"Convinced that the Democratic Party cannot return to Western values ??with Sali Berisha at its head, I support the resistance of Enkelejd Alibeaj ," Gjekmarkaj declared in 2022.

While today, as if to convince us of his impudence, Gjekmarkaj is not only an MP for the DP led by Sali Berisha, but is also the vice president of that party.

He even calls the leader of the DP an inevitable asset to the party and history.
