The Italian Embassy in Albania has reacted to the passing of former Prime Minister and former leader of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano.
In a post, the embassy expresses its condolences to Nano's family, friends and political associates.
The embassy writes that Nano was committed to the modernization of Albania and contributed to the advancement of relations between Albania and Italy.
"Fatos Nano, economist, historical leader of the Socialist Party of Albania, several times Prime Minister and friend of Italy, passed away today. Remembering his commitment to the modernization of Albania and the contribution he made to advancing bilateral relations, the Embassy expresses its most sincere condolences to his family, friends and all those who accompanied him in his political life ," the embassy writes./CNA
