Protests against the government/ Klosi: There is no public voice, we are waiting
Blendi Klosi, general secretary of the Socialist Party at RTSH

SP Secretary General Blendi Klosi commented on the protests in front of the Prime Minister's Office, stating that one of the achievements of the protest is the fact that it is peaceful and there is no harassment unlike political protests.

Invited to the show "Trialog", Klosi stated that this protest fails to articulate what it demands, but only says to overthrow the government, to get rid of the political class.

He emphasized that the protest does not have a public voice, where people believe why the current political class should leave and another class should take over.

"There is nothing wrong with protesting and this is the principle of democracy which is a moment of assessing the situation we are in. So, people who want to protest go out and protest. They have no coercion from the government, there is no clash. The times have changed when we were in opposition, when you had to be very careful, there were clashes, there were fights, there were beatings and there were even people killed in the square. Today we are in a peaceful protest without any harassment and this could be one of the achievements of the protest.

"The protest fails to articulate what they are demanding, they say the government should be overthrown and the political class should leave and a new political class should come in. It could be beautiful and the political class itself says it needs renewal, re-emergence. But for a public voice to emerge and for us to have a reason why people will have to believe that this political class should leave and this new class that is not political but wants to become political should take over," said Klosi.

Klosi further emphasized that they should wait for the protesters to present what they want and what they are demanding.

"In fact, in a democracy, we have politics that moves things forward and makes decisions or enters the electoral race. So we will have to wait until the protesters present what they want and what they are demanding," Klosi underlined./ CNA
