Opposition protest/ PD Councillor: Shkodra residents will be in Tirana to tell

DP councilor in the Municipal Council of Shkodra, Izmira Ulqinaku, through a statement to the media, invited Shkodra residents to join the protest called by the opposition on Monday in Tirana.

Ulqinaku also condemned the approval of the budget by the majority councilors a few days ago in the Municipal Council as he said that taxes will increase significantly next year with the proposal of Mayor Benet Beci.

"Dear fellow citizens,

This year is ending with a negative balance for the residents of Shkodra. The economy of the families comes and goes on the poverty line. Attention and support from the state is nowhere to be seen, on the contrary, the new year 2025 is expected to be even more difficult economically.

The Mayor of Shkodër, appointed by the gangs, on Thursday presented the impoverishment budget to the City Council.

The 2025 budget, which was voted by all representatives of the majority, foresees a doubling of local taxes and fees. It does not envisage serious investments from our taxes, it envisages unnecessary social activities where money goes up in smoke and is stolen.

Shkodra, among the poorest cities in Albania, does not deserve the doubling of the drinking water tariff. From January 1, residents of Shkodër will also face this increase, in addition to the doubling of the cleaning fee, green lighting.

The 2025 budget does not support any category of residents of Shkodra:

- Children are not supported, investment in kindergartens

- It does not support young couples, help in buying a house, etc

- Does not support farmers

- It does not support economically impossible families

- Does not support new businesses

- He doesn't support any citizen, but he wants to blackmail them and send them away to the streets of Europe and the world.

Edi Rama and Benet Beci are like brothers in the governing concept, their policy is the doubling of taxes and fees, impoverishment and only impoverishment.

Benet Beci has not proposed the reduction of any tax or fee, he has increased all of them without any reason.

We, the representatives of the Democratic Party, condemn this model and are against impoverishing policies.

With our coming to power, every citizen will feel valued and everyone's well-being will be primary. Economics is the key point of our program. Reducing taxes and fees for every Albanian, increasing salaries and pensions, is what we will achieve, in order to stop the hemorrhaging of young people to foreign countries.

The black Shkodran people will flock to Tirana, to react to the injustices, to give a strong blow to the impoverishing regime.

Tomorrow, Monday, December 23, at 17:00, Shkodra residents will be in Tirana to stop the theft and enrichment of the rulers.
