Draft budget 2025/ Teliti: This is how public finances are being wasted

The Coordinator for the Economic Program in DP, Dorjan Teliti, denounces this Saturday that the government is wasting public finances with the 2025 draft budget.

Teliti writes on social networks that in the 2025 draft budget, 147 million euros are expected to be given to the new port in Porto Romano, while for pensioners it is 54 million euros in total, for indexation and the 2025 bonus.

He declares that the new port will receive from the 2025 budget almost three times more funds, compared to those that will be allocated for pensioners.

After forgiving over 1 billion euros of investments made in 30 years in the port of Durrës,

After giving away hundreds of thousands of square meters of public land,

After exempting the "strategic investor" for 10 years from fiscal obligations,

After waiving the infrastructure impact tax,

After asking no one about the new harbor at Porto Romano and its staggering construction costs,

After allocating 98 million euros from the state budget during 2024, the next bill for the construction of the new port in Porto Romano comes again. The government anticipates giving a full 147 million euros of our taxes during 2025 for this project.

When you think that we had the port in Durrës, when you think that for the indexation and the bonus that will be given during the next year for 790 thousand pensioners, the government foresees only 54 million euros (or 2.7 times less)... you understand even more clearly why the government propaganda is put into motion these last few days.
