Prime Minister Edi Rama issued a warning to businesses during a meeting with pensioners in Korça.

Rama said that the General Directorate of Taxes has notified all businesses to declare full salaries, as he pointed out that the correct non-declaration steals money from pensioners.

He said that he is aware of the salaries in the market and will not accept the declarations of businesses that do not correspond to reality will not be accepted.

The head of the government underlined that if they are not corrected, the responsibility will be criminal.

"We come to our reality, to the problem that you have, we have, and to give a solution. From increased salaries in the public sector, we get more social security. Salaries, after we made an effort and increased our contributors to the scheme, from 520 thousand to 810 thousand, these were the majority of the private sector, we had another increase in contributors, when we pushed hard when we saw that the real salaries were greater. We have increases in real wages and we have the hiding of sectors. It does not exist in Albania, in construction, a salary of 500, 600, 700 euros, it does not exist.

Wages in construction are 700-1200 euros. Construction workers don't get 600 euros, they don't. When you see the statements that declare, 500, 600. Because we have done for those who receive up to 500 euros, we have said, for salaries up to 500 euros, there is no tax, but there is social security. But, they give 500 euros to the bank, because there is no tax there, they tell us 300, 400,500 in hand. Here, a pensioner was robbed, while this other one who takes these, digs a hole for himself, when he retires he is surprised. 3 thousand trials are held a year, go to trial, you have calculated my pensions incorrectly. You got more, but you didn't get them in letters, you got them in your hand. The same thing happens with the tourism sector. Tourism does not have salaries of 400, 500 eruo.

Salaries are like in Greece. Therefore, this year we have seen the beginning of a trend of returns from Greece. If they work here, their home is here. Taxes and rents, other obligations are not like in Greece. We will no longer accept such declarations, now the General Directorate of Taxes has sent a notice to all businesses, to take into account in their wage declarations, not to steal from pensioners. If they come to us from construction companies or other sectors, statements not in accordance with reality, they will be turned back and the consequences are criminal, not just criminal. We are in the conditions of evasion and for us it is theft of pensions. We believe that this will give us more income in the scheme", emphasized Rama./ CNA
