Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke this evening about his proposal for the establishment of the Bektashi State.

Rama said in the show "Opinion" that the Bektashis are in danger of disappearing and the chief grandmother is not working.

He stated that the Bektashis do not have opportunities for donations and the education of clerics and these are some of the reasons why the Bektashi State is supposed to be established.

"It is a concrete idea for Albania, very positive. The Bektashis are a cultural phenomenon with a role in our history. The Bektashi are in danger of extinction, as the center is in Albania. The capital is not functioning as a headquarters. Bektashis are not worldwide, they do not have opportunities for donations and the education of clerics", he said.

As for its operation, the head of the government declared that there will be no constitutional changes, nor its own police, but there will be diplomatic representation.

Rama declared that the collection of taxes will be done by the Albanian state.

"It will receive the special status of sovereign jurisdiction, rising to the pedestal. It will rise within the same perimeter. There will be diplomatic representation. Institutions and tax collection will be done by the Albanian state. There will be no constitutional changes, as not a centimeter will be removed from the state", stressed the Prime Minister./ CNA
