The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, made a promise to the Albanians during his speech at the nightly protest of his supporters, on "Mustafa Matohiti" street.

Berisha said that if PD comes to power, salaries will increase significantly.

He stated that there will be no average salary below 1200 euros, nor a maximum salary more than four times the average salary.

Also, he said that there will be no economic aid or unemployment payment below 200 euros.

"To my friends, I am here to promise that the government and the next program of the DP will have the first law, every budget the main investment in the person, in the person, in the person. No salary higher than four times the average salary in the Republic of Albania. Steal as much as you can, thieves, we will take them out, wherever you hide them, we will find them, we will return them to the citizens.

Is it possible in a republic of values, for one man to take as many as 70 pensioners? Is it possible in a republic of law, the Constitution, that an official receives the average salary of 10 officials?

This ends my friends. Salaries, funds will go to pensions, which will never have a pension below 200, or will be calculated on the basis of the vital minimum of 200 euros.

There will be no financial assistance below 200 euros. There will be no unemployment payment under 200 euros. There will be no Albanian who will receive less than 200 euros per month. No, no, there will be no minimum salary below 500 euros. There will be no average salary below 1200 euros. There will be no maximum salary more than four times the average salary.

We will give a human face to the republic. We will make their taxes, citizens' and businessmen's, turn into well-deserved favors for the citizens," the former prime minister emphasized./ CNA
