"Extreme poverty"/ Korreshi: The sad panorama of Albania that is
Deputy of the Democratic Party, Saimir Korreshi

The deputy of the Democratic Party, Saimir Korreshi, expressed concern about the economic situation of Albanians, where according to him, the citizens are facing great difficulties for survival.

He points out that living has become more expensive and most people find it impossible to afford basic needs.

Korreshi mentions the exodus of the 90s, when Albanian families lived in very difficult conditions, but emphasizes that even today the situation has not significantly improved. According to him, citizens are being forced to leave the country, not for welfare, but because they cannot make a living here.

"I say that Albanians are worse for bread now, because it is more important to focus on the money that remains in their pockets at the end of the month, on unemployment or the flight of family members. We know that we had an exodus in the 90s, but then the Albanians should remember that there were three families, three crowns on one roof and they had no savings to build. Today they have all been forced to close the shutters. If we look at the village, it is a sad panorama because everyone has run away.

Meanwhile, even though 700-800 thousand people have fled in the last three years, they did not flee because of welfare, as if they had received money here to live in abundance there. They fled because they could not make a living, they could not find breakfast and they could not finish dinner with money in their wallets.

This is a sad panorama to tell friend Balluku, but friend Balluku and many others like her do not know the value of anything anymore, because they say to the driver: "Bring me this, bring me that." They can buy houses as if they were fairy time candy.

So they can have anything with a snap of their fingers.

With the old 4,100 lek that pensions have increased, my mother can only buy one kilo of groscha, which has gone to 3,000 lek unfortunately.

Farmers today, if you see them, a good part of them in some areas of Lushnja, Divjaka, etc., are left at the mercy of fate, even though they invested not with the help of AZHBR, but with their own blood.

Life is expensive. It is impossible today for a family that receives economic assistance to survive with 35,000 ALL per person," said Korreshi.
