The member of the National Council of the DP, Lisandre Hoxha, said that Albania apparently since 2022 has applied sanctions against Russia, joining the countries of the West against Putin's Russian aggression against Ukraine.

But, according to Hoxha, the Rama government is acting differently than it claims, since for months there have been reports of ships coming from Russia loaded with various goods.

He also showed the most recent case, according to him, with a Russian ship departing from the port of Rostov on Don towards the port of Durrës. The member of the DP National Council stated that the ship was cleared through customs on March 26 with a suspicious procedure.

Hoxha, on behalf of the Democratic Party, calls on the competent bodies to start investigations on this case.

Hoxha's statement:

Since 2022, Albania has applied sanctions against Russia, joining the Western countries against Putin's Russian aggression against Ukraine.

This is not only an obligation to NATO, but also to our American partners.

Sanctions are a mechanism to economically weaken the war machine of Vladimir Putin's regime.

The Democratic Party has strongly supported Ukraine and NATO countries in any initiative to stop Putin's war machine from furthering its occupation.

Even the Rama government apparently did the same, but in fact it acts differently.
For months there have been reports of ships coming from Russia loaded with various goods.
The last case is dated March 24, 2024, with a Russian ship departing from the port of Rostov on Don towards the port of Durrës with the number OMSKIY-105.
The vessel in question was cleared through customs on March 26, 2024 with a dubious procedure which creates the conditions for smuggling.

The sender of the product, the company CJSC Red October is a dubious company that does not indicate the origin of the goods. It only deals with shipments from Russia to other countries.

The goods that were unloaded by Albanian customs were not weighed according to standard legal procedures, but left the port immediately, raising suspicions of smuggling.

The Democratic Party calls on the competent authorities to immediately start investigations into this case.

Albania must be true and serious in its commitment as a NATO member country to contribute to this war by any means and means.
Today, the Rama government is suspicious of its partners in every step of the way because of major corruption.
Our country cannot be a smuggling haven for oil, barley or other goods that are regularly brought into our country.

The Rama government and Rilindja's customs officials have turned our main sea port into a gateless inn for Russian smugglers and the international mafia, making us unreliable in our Euro-Atlantic commitment.

The Democratic Party is determined to continue its fight against corruption by publicly denouncing any case that harms our national security, the integrity of our country in NATO and constitutes a corrupt violation.

Albanians are looking for a serious government which will seriously fight corruption and engage strongly with its partners.

The Rama regime will be the end of the regimes that survive on corruption and smuggling./ CNA
