A strong accusation has been raised by Belind Këlliçi, the leader of the DP for Tirana and the opposition candidate for mayor of Tirana in the elections of May 14, 2023.

Kelliçi stated from Kukësi that the mayor Erion Veliaj offered from 50 to 500 euros per vote in the local elections.

He emphasized that the citizens of Tirana themselves have shown this to him during the electoral campaign.

"One of the questions that was often addressed to us in last year's local elections was what is my offer in front of Rilindja's offer, and when I asked them what the offer was, in Tirana, Veliaj had 50, 100, 200 or even 500 euros for the offer. for a vote and I could not afford this offer.
