The Chairperson of the Investigative Commission for Health, Albana Vokshi, has rejoined regarding the decision of the majority deputies to exclude the opposition from the commission.
In a statement to the media, Vokshi called the decision an illegal and shameful act. She called on the speaker of the Parliament, Lindita Nikolla, to restore normality for the smooth running of the commission's work.
Among other things, the deputy stated that there are several requests addressed to Nikola, for which the PD has not received an answer.
Full statement:
In the last statement to the media, I denounced a shameful, one-sided, unconstitutional and illegal act by the majority deputies who have blocked the normal continuation of the work of the investigative commission on health concessions.
Practically by means of an illegal, scandalous instrument that embarrasses the Parliament in an unprecedented act in 33 years of parliamentarianism, the socialist members of the investigative committee have decided to exclude the opposition from the parliamentary committee because the opposition no longer needs the committee and the meetings and decision-making of the committee. they have replaced it with voting with signatures that they submit in the minutes.

This is an illegal procedure, which overthrows the main pillar of the parliamentary investigation, its direction by the petitioner, that is, by us as the opposition, that the socialists have decided in the last meetings, without notifying us, to carry out visits to the institutions implementing the contracts object of investigation.
As expected, no reaction from Edi Rama, Lindita Nikolë.
So, they will spend Albanian money to go to hospitals or health centers on a propaganda tour to tell us how happy Albanians are with health.
Today I have two words addressed to the President of the Assembly.
The Parliament of Albania has had its own problems these 3 decades, but it has never been at such a low point as with Lindita Nikolla. I am very sorry to say it, but under her leadership, the parliament behaves like an institution dependent on the government, when Edi Rama's order is law!
With the concern of the boycott on the part of the socialist deputies, for blocking the work in the commission, for the illegal meetings called unilaterally, we have addressed the Speaker of the Assembly officially, with some requests, in order to perform a role for the restoration of normality.
There are five such requests, starting from the concern raised by the chairman of the group, up to my requests for the functioning of the Assembly's bodies or a meeting with the opposition MPs.
What is the answer of the President of the Assembly? You may be surprised, but there is no answer to all five of our requests. When it comes to restoring dignity to Parliament and putting legality before party interest, Lindita Nikolla disappears. Relatively speaking, as someone would say, parliamentarianism is not important for him, but Edi Rama.

In this spirit of anti-state and anti-parliament, the Secretariat for Voting and Procedures also acted. I have sent Klotilda Bushka 3 requests for its meeting, proof of the violation of the law by her socialist colleagues in the commission, but 2 weeks have passed and the attitude is the same as that of Lindita Nikolla: there is no answer.
In order to exclude the opposition MPs from the plenary sessions, this Secretary met with immediate socialist momentum, while in order to establish the dignity of the Parliament through the implementation of the law, the Assembly is silent!
I believe you are all clear that these are coordinated positions to prevent parliamentary control of the government. To hinder the investigation of the 200 million euro affair of sterilization and check-up concessions. And I believe you know that behind this illegality and making a rag of the parliament, is the architect of corruption in health, Edi Rama, whom justice is afraid to investigate.
I call on Lindita Nikolla to urgently react to our demands and put the investigation commission on the track of normality and not to obstruct the parliamentary investigation and the clarification of the abuse of 200 million EURO for the two health concessions.
I repeat the invitation for the participation of the majority deputies in two meetings that I called on Monday:
- of the chairmanship of the commission, at 14.00, to decide together with the socialist vice-president and the secretary how we will move forward.
- the meeting of the committee at 15.00 with 2 requests on the agenda:
1. To approve requests for information
2. To give time to the experts for the drafting of a common investigative plan
As part of the opposition, we are determined to make transparency about one of the most corrupt affairs of Edi Rama's government. The artificial obstacles in the commission of inquiry are not meant to hinder us. Whoever participated in the crime of stealing the health of Albanians, should not sleep peacefully! Every stolen penny must be returned to the Albanians!/ CNA
