The head of the cabinet in the Democratic Party, Akil Kraja, has denounced this Monday the thefts in the Directorate of Water and Sewerage in Tirana.

Kraja said that in UKT, salaries are stolen, taxes are stolen to make fictitious tenders that are passed on to their relatives, and most likely loans of hundreds of millions of euros.

He claimed that UKT is run by Elton Kacidhja, but the administrator is mayor Erion Veliaj.

"Actually, I want to be very honest. They burned the central offices of UKT some time ago, if you remember. Which means that their stupidity is so extreme, unimaginable, that I actually, even as a municipal councilor, as an expert, as a citizen, the first call, or rather one of the first analyzes that I would expect from SPAK , this would be the burning of the UKT office archives some time ago if it was not a burning to destroy some evidence when the day comes. It is extraordinary, it is terrible.

UKT is an institution which received a loan of about 120 million euros from the EBRD some time ago, after last week there was talk of a loan from KFW of 50 million euros, which would go to intercity transport. Meanwhile, we remember that before this loan, another loan was taken. While the directors of this company were these individuals who were known for forwarding messages with application codes for tenders.

So if we take it as a whole, they steal wages, the news that was just reported, they steal taxes to make these fictitious tenders that are passed on to their relatives. Most likely, they also steal loans worth hundreds of millions of euros, which will be paid in the future by our citizens and children.
