DP "ignites" the engines of the electoral campaign in Shkodra/ Focus,

The Democratic Party (DP) has started the electoral campaign in Shkodra. The Secretary General of the Democratic Party (DP), Flamur Noka, has announced that the focus of the DP will be the Diaspora vote. Noka has called on emigrants to register to vote.

"We have set up a DP Shkodra headquarters and this was one of the discussions at today's meeting. From today until May 11, the DP will be with the people of Shkodra to raise hope for Shkodra and for a free Albania. Today, the engines of a de facto electoral campaign have been started from Shkodra. The focus will be the vote of the diaspora. All deputies must be on the ground and in contact with the diaspora. The Albanians who were expelled by Edi Rama can never vote for gangs and the Renaissance but will vote for the DP. Immigrants must register to save Albania. We also decided to suspend the DP Shkodra election process and we have decided to appoint journalist Eljona Shkreli to this post. She is a prominent voice, a courageous and brave intellectual who will give another breath to the DP. The state administration is turning into patronageists and unprecedented pressure is being exerted on them and I call on them to distance themselves from this criminal act of directors, deputies and DP ministers. Do not use cannon fodder from the gangs of power because tomorrow they will be our collaborators. We have also denounced the misuse of embassies. We see that Rilindja is being abandoned in the diaspora. Rama was in Athens with the entire administration because the Albanian emigrants in Athens abandoned him. In New York, 350 people traveled from Albania who have American visas to fill the hall. This is a shame. SKAP can protect them for the moment but one day there will be a law and they will be punished. Albanians do not love Rama and do not suffer from Stockholm syndrome. The diaspora will vote the rest back to Edi Rama.

In her speech, Shkreli emphasized the unity of the Democrats as an urgent need for the removal of the Rama government. 

"The engines for the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections of May 11 have been turned on. I want to thank the DP leadership for my command at the head of the DP Shkodra. It would undoubtedly be each of the members of the leadership, the members of the DP, so I feel privileged and very appreciated and without a doubt the DP Shkodra branch is not the chairman but the leadership, the group sections, it is every democrat. The main goal we have is to unite all the democrats because we have only one goal, the removal of the Rama government and the main goal for Shkodra is the removal of Benet Beci and all his appointed people, of Rilindja who has invaded and through pressure has stolen power in the past local elections so that this will not happen again. Our work will be daily, absolutely very dedicated and we will all be together to fight Rilindja and I am convinced that the victory will start from Shkodra and that the victory will be profound."
