Socialist Mayor Gives Account to SPAK/Why Was He Summoned by the Special

The interrogation of the Mayor of Kolonja, Erion Isai, has concluded. The Mayor remained at the SPAK premises for about an hour.

During his statement to the media, Isai said that he appeared at the Special Prosecution Office in the capacity of a declarant and that he was asked for additional clarifications regarding a file from 2023.

According to him, this event is unrelated to his duties as head of the Municipality of Kolonja.

With humor, Isai added that his second time at this Prosecutor's Office was enjoyable.

"It's an old incident, it has nothing to do with the municipality's tenders. I was called as a person aware of an event. It has nothing to do with electoral crimes, or with a specific event from a long time ago, where the Municipality was not involved in a direct public tender, but as an institution that cooperates and has knowledge. It's up to the prosecution to decide who it is investigating, I was asked as a person who has knowledge. The investigators were in a good mood, why shouldn't they be in a good mood. The first time was pleasant, the second time was the same as the first," he said at the time after leaving SPAK./ CNA
