DP submits the bill for increasing pensions up to 300 euros

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has submitted to the Assembly the draft law proposal for increasing pensions to the minimum amount of 300 euros until 2029.

Bardhi emphasizes that the treatment of pensioners is indicative of an emancipated society.

Notification:

The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has undertaken a legal initiative aimed at increasing minimum pensions, especially for pensioners in rural areas, by establishing a minimum standard of the amount of benefit, regardless of the type of pension, as well as undoing those legal provisions that limit the right of pension benefits with or without withdrawal during the last three years.

The dignified treatment of one of the most vulnerable sections of the country is an indicator of an emancipated society, in social peace and where the many years of work and sacrifices of our fellow citizens are valued.

Specifically, the intervention in the law aims to establish a minimum standard for the amount of pension benefits in our country, regardless of the type of this pension, starting from 2024 at the average pension amount of around 18 thousand ALL and continuing in upward progression for 5 next years, in order that in 2029 there will be no pensions lower than 32 thousand lek (about 300 euros)./ CNA
