Prime Minister Edi Rama attacked SPAK for placing the naval base in Limion of Saranda under preventive seizure.

Rama said in the Assembly of the SP that the decision on sequestration is absurd.

He stated that if the private enterprise that signed the contract were to go to Arbitration, the Albanian state would spend a fortune.

"The absurdity reaches the point where a preventive seizure is taken on behalf of NATO, a strategically important investment of 200 million euros in Saranda Limion, which has had a development plan for the tourist marina since Zog's time. For two or three years, I have been stuck because the way the contract was concluded is being investigated.

I don't want to comment on the reasons for that investigation, but you don't need a degree in law to understand that investigating the state's agreement with private enterprise, blocking the investment and doing this in the name of NATO and national security by doing Laugh at NATO and interfere in the competence of an independent power that is sovereign for national security. This is open arbitrariness that could cost the Albanian state a lot if the investors were cynical to take it to arbitration.
