Diaspora votes are being counted in 11 districts/ Balla: 2 out of 3 Albanians

The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, made several statements today from the Olympic Park, where the counting of the diaspora ballots for the 11 regions of the country has officially ended. In his speech to journalists, Balla expressed his gratitude to the voters and the counters from both political forces.

Balla said that it turns out that two out of three voters from abroad gave their trust to Edi Rama.

Balla informed that at this moment the minutes for the only remaining district, that of Elbasan, are being closed.

"Two out of three voters from abroad gave their trust to Edi Rama. Albanians in the diaspora showed a high level of interest. Maybe the time was short, but the counters have done a commendable job. I say this also for the representatives of the Socialist Party, but also for the opposition. This process has been going on since 2005 when this counting system was used. Even at this moment as we speak, the minutes of the Elbasan District are being closed", said Balla. /CNA
