SP's initiative for changes to the Criminal Code/Kelliçi harsh: We

DP MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted to the majority's initiative for changes to the Criminal Code regarding the security measure of suspension from duty.

According to Këlliç, Rama today formalized an initiative to approve a law that provides special immunity to himself and government ministers, protecting them from investigations while they are in office.

Këlliçi emphasizes that it is a threat to equality before the law and the fight against corruption.

According to him, this immunity places public officials "above the law" and transforms Albania into a country with special privileges for its leaders.

Edi Rama today formalized the initiative to legally protect himself, to prevent the investigation from reaching his office. With the changes he intends to make to the code, he gives himself and his ministers immunity against all the spirit and need of the time, for an uncompromising fight against corruption.

With this act, Albania goes decades behind and we become perhaps the only republic on the planet that legally protects the thefts of the prime minister and ministers.

Edi Rama simply confirmed to the citizens that his affairs are unprecedented, he claimed that his theft is deep, built into a capillary system in every institution. Otherwise, why would he take extra protective measures for himself?!

According to Edi Rama, he and his ministers have special protection as long as they are in office. They are not equal before the law and are different from citizens! According to him, they are above the law!!!

This special immunity makes Albania a Republic of Corruption, in addition to being already known as Europe's first narco-state.

With his convinced cards in the Assembly, he can accomplish this, just as they can reject SPAK's request for Balluk's immunity, as he warned.

But now the challenge belongs to the people, the citizens. Now the fate of the country must be taken into the hands of the people. Albanians cannot accept that the prime minister decides by decree that the law is not the same for everyone.

So, let's gather on Friday, the 20th, in front of the prime minister's office, and show this corrupt autocrat his place.

We will not allow him to build a new Bloc of privileges and inviolability in Albania, 35 years after this country overthrew the Bloc of dictatorship and gained freedom.
