The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, stated in a press conference that the Beleri file is a flagrant indicator of the capture of the state in a mafia manner, and the criminal use of the state by the prime minister and the government.

"Blocking his oath is completely unconstitutional. "Nothing prevents and has not prevented Fredi Beleri as chairman, even in the conditions of a mafia kidnapping by the police of Edi Rama", said Meta. 

Among other things, he emphasized that it is not the Beleri issue that is blocking Albania's European integration, but is being deliberately held hostage by this majority and this prime minister. 

The judicial body of GJKKO has withdrawn to take the decision regarding the trial of the head of the Municipality of Himara, Fredi Beleri. 

Beleri is accused of buying votes in the elections of May 14, 2023.

For Beleri, the Special Prosecutor's Office requested a sentence of 2 years and 6 months in prison. As for the other defendant, Fredi Kokaveshi, an associate of Beler, SPAK requested two years of imprisonment, which were converted into 4 years of probation.

This relief measure for Kokavesh was given because he has health problems, as well as his minor child has health problems./ CNA
