The spokeswoman for Anti-Corruption in the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, has accused the government of the reconstruction process and stated from the blue seat that thousands of families in Durres are still on the streets. 

She emphasized that 267.8 million euros have been paid for the reconstruction process only in the municipality of Durres, but the citizens affected by the earthquake have not entered the new apartments. 

"While the citizens of Durrës have been forgotten, this has not happened with the mammoth incinerators. Just for the cleaning and greening services in favor of the concessionaire of the incinerator of Tirana, Integrated Energy, a full 2.2 million euros was paid for the year 2023", she said.

A fantastic figure of 267.8 million euros was paid for the reconstruction process in the municipality of Durrës alone.
?However, thousands of citizens, instead of house keys, have received straw keys, so they do not enjoy their homes, even though more than four years have passed since the earthquake and that much from the promises of the government and the municipality of Durrës.

To make matters worse, they haven't even received the rent bonus for months now. Only a small number of families have been given the keys to their houses, and this has happened for publicity purposes, to throw ash in the eyes of the Durrsaks. Since 2020, the government has signed limited contracts for the earthquake reconstruction process in Durrës.

Durrës Municipality turns out to have procured 114.5 million euros. All construction contracts have expired, but the residents of Durrës are still far from their homes.

The question of 267.8 million euros is: Why are the residents still unstable in the reconstructed apartments?! What is happening with the rent bonuses for these residents affected by the earthquake? According to DPTH data, 2.6 million euros were paid by the municipality of Durrës for 2023 for reconstruction grants and rent subsidies for families affected by the earthquake, specifically:

As can be seen, the payments were made in a non-systematic manner and against different values, while the beneficiaries are always the same. The most important are the payments made until the elections, May 2023, then, apart from a negligible value, 388 euros in June, the payments are stopped until December and no one has benefited from money for the rent.

In this fact you can find the real face, the mask that the Rama government puts on its head to rob the Albanians. The Durrsaks were given something until May to deceive them and steal the elections, and then for 8 months their backs were turned.

While the citizens of Durrës have been forgotten, this has not happened with the mammoths of the incinerators. Only for the cleaning and greening services in favor of the Tirana incinerator concessionaire Integrated Energy was paid for the year 2023 a full 2.2 million euros. For 2024, no payment has been made for reconstruction grants and rental subsidies for families affected by the earthquake, but only payments for salaries, tenders, etc., and of course the concessionaire of the incinerator in the amount of 880 thousand euros.

What should the residents of Durrës do, wait another year and a half until the next elections so that some of them get the houses that belong to them?!
