Socialist parliamentary group meets today on the "Balluku" issue

This Monday, the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group will hold an important meeting. This is because the focus of the socialists' meeting will be the issue of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and the request for authorization to continue measures against her.

Through a post on the 'X' platform, Prime Minister and Socialist leader Edi Rama confirmed the meeting.

"Today at 10:00 we will be LIVE in the Parliamentary Group to take a position on the prosecutor's request to restrict Belinda Balluku's freedom," Rama writes.

During the meeting, the report prepared by the five socialist members represented in the Mandates Council will also be read, through which the official position of the majority on this issue will be clarified.

The report was drafted by the socialist MP and chairman of the Laws Committee, Ulsi Manja.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku is also expected to be present at the meeting.

Also, Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to deliver a speech to SP MPs, to specifically express the party's and the majority's position on the issue. /CNA
